Prime Retail Acquisition in Lisburn for Trespass Outdoor

In our first retail acquisition for Trespass, the major UK outdoor clothing retailer, McConnell Chartered Surveyors has completed on a leasehold deal in Lisburn, Co Antrim. Trespass has taken a 10 year lease on the new development at Wallace Buildings, in the prime city centre Bow Street shopping location. The property comprises c.2,673 sq ft ground floor retail plus c.2,195 sq ft at first floor. The landlord was represented by Frazer Kidd & Partners.

A headline rental of £50,000 was agreed, however very substantial inducements were negotiated by McConnell’s on behalf of the tenant.

McConnell’s were appointed earlier this year by Trespass as their sole acquisition agents in Northern Ireland through our formal association with King Sturge (now Jones Lang LaSalle).

Trespass are a highly successful UK wide retail brand and we are currently looking for more prime retail opportunities on their behalf.

£500,000 Ravenhill Business Space Sale

3/8/2011

McConnell Chartered Surveyors, acting for Tyco International, has sold units 4 & 5 Ravenhill Business Park, on the Ravenhill Road in East Belfast, for £500,000. The property was acquired by Apprentice Training which has now set up their first centre in Northern Ireland providing plumbing and electrical training for young people. The building comprises around 11,650 sq ft over two floors. Commenting on the sale, Rory McConnell at McConnell’s said “this sale instruction was referred to us through our formal association with King Sturge (now Jones Lang LaSalle) in London, and Tyco were delighted that we had managed to secure a purchaser in what is currently a particularly difficult market.”
